A letterhead is the heading that appears at the top of the donor letter. It enables you to personalize correspondence to donors and imparts a professional appearance to a letter. Select the desired letterhead option.
In the setup for the donor report, letterhead graphics are stored in the Letterhead dropdown list. To make a letterhead graphic available for a user to insert into a donor letter, you must first add it as an option to this dropdown list. The instructions below show you how to do this. You create up to five letterhead options.
This procedure assumes that you have created and saved a letterhead graphics file on your computer that you want to make available to users to add to donor letters. If you do not plan to use a graphic
letterhead or if you intend to insert one that only consists of your organization's name and address, you can skip this procedure. This topic shares some guidelines for creating a letterhead graphic: Guidelines for Creating a Letterhead for Donor Reports.
The system adds the graphic file to the Letterhead dropdown list in the report setup, making it available for users to select and add to the donor letter.
If you ever need to edit the name of an option or remove it from the Letterhead dropdown list in the report setup, go to How to Manage Options in the Letterhead Dropdown List for
instructions.
