How to View a Donor's Giving History (Batches)

This topic shows you how to view a donor's giving history from the Batches > Postings page. You can also access this information from the Pledges page (for instructions, go to How to View a Donor's Giving History (Pledges) and from the Contributions page (for instructions, go to How to View a Donor's Giving History (Contributions).

To view a donor's giving history, you must have Offering > Giving History permissions tied to your login credentials. This permission is set in the Administration module on the ParishSOFT Modules tab in the staff user's record. Access to the Administration module is restricted to organization administrators only.

  1. Open the Batches page.
  2. In the batch list, locate the desired batch. To quickly find the desired batch, use the Search or Filter function.

  Position your mouse over the Info icon  to find out what type of data the Search bar accepts.

  1. Click    to open the Postings page.
  2. Find the donor whose giving history you want to view. To do this, complete the following:
    1. In the posting form, click .
    2. Enter your search criteria into the Directory Search fields. Then, click  to find the donor in your database.
    3. In the search results, select the donor's last name link.

You return to the Postings page where the donor's information is displayed.

  1. Click .

The Lifetime Giving window opens to show the donor's giving history data in a chart or line graph.

  1. The graph includes historical pledge and contribution data.
    • To view pledge data only, click this button above the graph: .
    • To view contribution data only, click this button above the graph: .
  2. Use the Years dropdown list to view trends of giving for a specific time period. Select one of the following:
    • All years: shows giving data for all time.
    • 5 years: shows giving data for the past five years.
    • 10 years: shows giving data for the past 10 years. 
  3. If desired, switch between graph and table views of the data by clicking these buttons:
    • : presents a graph view of giving data.
    • : presents a table view of giving data.
  4. To exit the Lifetime Giving window, click .
