How to Configure Access Rights and Permissions to Offering

By default, access to Offering is denied to all users. To access the application, permission must be individually granted to staff by a user with Diocesan Admin access rights. 

This topic describes the steps required to give a staff user access to Offering. Follow the steps in the order given, skipping those that do not apply to a given user. For example, if you are giving Offering access to an existing staff member, he or she already has user account and an active assignment to your organization. Therefore, you would begin at Step 2.

  1. Create a user account.Create a user account.

    Each staff user must have a user account and be provided with the necessary login credentials, which consist of a username and password. Login credentials authenticate the user when he or she logs in to ParishSOFT Family Suite.

  2. Give the user an active assignment to the organization.Give the user an active assignment to the organization.

    To access the features and functions of Offering, the staff user must have an active assignment to the diocese.

  3. Grant access rights to Offering.Grant access rights to Offering.

    Access rights to Offering are assigned within a staff member's record on the ParishSOFT Modules tab. The staff record is accessed from the Staff List page in the Administration module.
